Requirements of the musicians in Savore

All musicians involved with Savore must be able to perform improvisation as a standard requirement to be part of the trio. We are purely instrumental and have endeavoured to create specific feels for the specific styles of Latin we perform: Samba, Bossa, Bolero, Rhumba, Cha Cha and Tango.

About the musicians in Savore

Valentino Gikovski

Valentino performs with Savore on a flamenco guitar and has studied flamenco guitar in Spain for several years. He brings a flare to the Bossa’s and Samba’s with his magnificent rhythmic technique on the right hand and when improvising, adds a touch of genius with his melodic ideas.

He knows how to connect with Raju and Chris when performing, creating exciting chemistry and superb guitar playing.

Raju Sharma

Raju on congas is a gifted percussionist/drummer who has been an integral part of Savore, keeping the groove to enable the guitarists freedom to experiment and move around within a piece of music.

Raju is trained on many different types of percussion and drums and is quick to perform stunning solos in the middle of a piece of music.

With Savore he plays congas, he makes the most out of his instrument adding vibrant beats and textures to the music.

He is proficient in both traditional Indian and western styles of music with a rich history of live performances behind him.

Chris Gogerly

Chris on nylon string guitar is one of the founding members of Savore. He brings to the music a soulful feel.  He has a great expressive range on the guitar and is able to add both a pensive or energetic feel to the music.

Chris and Valentino have both composed original music for the trio.
